August 2026 Platform Update: Windows VPS, Looking Glass, New Languages and More

🚀 Platform Update: August 2026

A lot landed at once this time, so here is the whole list in one place. Most of it applies to services you already have, with nothing for you to do.

🪟 Windows, and a Much Bigger OS List

You can now deploy Windows from the order form, alongside a wider set of Linux and BSD images. The full template list is:

  • Debian 12, 13
  • Ubuntu 22, 24, 26
  • AlmaLinux 8, 9, 10
  • Rocky Linux 8, 9, 10
  • Arch Linux
  • FreeBSD
  • Windows Server 2019, 2022, 2025
  • Windows 10 LTSC, 11 LTSC

Before you order: the Windows images need a plan with at least 4 GB of RAM, so they start from the Mini plan upward. Every Linux and BSD image runs on any plan, including the €5 VPS.

This is also the practical difference between full KVM virtualisation and a container platform sold under the same name. A shared-kernel host cannot offer you FreeBSD or Windows at all, because there is only one kernel on the machine and it is Linux. On our platform the guest kernel is yours to choose.

💸 Discounts on Longer Renewals

Renewing for longer now costs less per month. The discount applies to the whole renewal, base plan plus any add-ons:

Renewal termDiscount
1 monthStandard price
3 months5% off
6 months10% off
12 months20% off

You will see the term selector and the adjusted price in the client area under your VM's extend page. Nothing is automatic, so if you want the longer term you will need to pick it at renewal.

🌍 Eight Languages, More Coming

The site and the client area are now fully translated into eight languages:

English, Albanian, German, Spanish, Croatian, Russian, Chinese and Arabic.

That covers the ordering process, the client area, billing, tickets, the BGP pages and the policies, not just the front page.

Planned next: Farsi, Bulgarian and Serbian.

If your language is missing, or if you spot a translation that reads badly or is plain wrong, tell us. Machine-translated hosting panels are a menace and we would rather hear about a bad string than leave it sitting there.

🛡️ DDoS Protection and Failover

DDoS mitigation is included on every service at no extra cost, and it is now automated rather than something we react to by hand.

  • United Kingdom and Netherlands: always-on protection
  • North Macedonia and Albania: automated failover scripts

As always, mitigation is best-effort. Attack methods change, and no provider who tells you otherwise is being straight with you.

We have brought up new links for North Macedonia and Albania through a new provider using dark fibre infrastructure. The practical result is better uptime and fewer routing oddities in the Balkans, which was the most common complaint we received about those two sites.

💾 Off-Site Backup Safety Net

We now take a daily off-site copy of every active VM to separate infrastructure, on a rolling 24 hour cycle.

Please read this part carefully, because it changes less than it sounds like it does. This is our internal safety net for disaster scenarios. It is not a customer-managed backup product: you cannot browse it, schedule it, or restore from it yourself, and it does not replace your own backups. Our Terms of Service still put backup responsibility with you, and that is deliberate.

If your data matters, keep your own copy somewhere we do not control. That advice runs against our commercial interest and it is still the right advice.

🔭 Public Looking Glass

There is now a Looking Glass on the website, open to everyone with no account required. It runs live ping, traceroute and BGP lookup tools from all four sites: Tirana, Skopje, Amsterdam and London.

Use it to check our routing before you buy anything, or to debug a path when something looks wrong. We think providers should make their routing visible, so ours is there for you to inspect whenever you want it.

🧰 Everything Else

  • Renewal and reminder system updated
  • A round of security and bug fixes across the client area and staff panel
  • Our Privacy Policy has been updated for accuracy. The short version is that we run no website analytics and hold very little about you. The long version is on the page, and it is worth two minutes if you care about that sort of thing.

🗣️ Your Feedback

Four things, all quick:

  1. Language requests. Which language should we add after Farsi, Bulgarian and Serbian?
  2. Translation bugs. Anything that reads awkwardly or wrongly in your language.
  3. Feedback. What is missing, what is annoying, what would make you consolidate more of your infrastructure with us.
  4. A review. If we have been good to you, a review on Trustpilot genuinely helps a small independent ISP more than it helps a large one.

Open a ticket for any of it. We read all of them.

If you are weighing up more capacity while you are here: VPS from €5/mo, VDS from €40/mo, dedicated servers from €150/mo, and IP transit and BGP from €5/mo.
